Join our Utrecht’s Hightlights Bike Tour and let this beautiful medieval city astonish you! Get around like the locals do, on a bike! When and where you ask?
What you’ll see on the tour:
During this Utrecht’s Hightlights Bike Tour you’ll cycle through one of the best preserved historic cities in the Netherlands. Our guide shares tales about past residents and the city’s historical buildings. From the city center we go through the city canal to the modern part of town built by Gerrit Rietveld (who founded one of the best art schools in the Netherlands), Dick Bruna. The renovated central station area is where the impressive Tivoli-Vredenburg building is. On the east side of the city, at the Maliebaan, you learn about how Utrecht was the center of the NSB and the German occupier in the Second World War, and you’ll hear of the heroic story about the resistance sisters, Truusje and Truitje van Lier.
We also pass the city theater and the Maliebaan, and then the beautiful Eastside where the world-famous Rietveldhuis (on the World Heritage list) is. We also see the “oude Gracht”, “De Dom” and Domchurch.
Of course Name dropping is not enough, you’ll have to join the tour to know the whole story 😉
